*Soaping Up from Head to Toe

Our skin deserves only the best cleansing and caring products. That’s why Soeder* takes matters in its own hands: On Bucheggplatz in Zurich’s district 6 the creative collective behind the Swiss brand installed a fully functioning soap factory. It marks the first time in decades that there’s a specialized manufacturing facility where high-end soaps are being produced within the city of Zurich. They are hand-crafted only from organic ingredients and available in several different fragrances. We’re excited that the soap is already in use at the new café «Bank» on Helvetiaplatz and restaurant «Coming Soon» in Zurich.

Based on Our Own Needs

The new soap factory has been established out of our own needs for a sensible and high-quality product. Up to this point our search for a satisfying soap has been without success. Demands were clear: Ingredients should be organic and especially gentle to the skin, and the soap should be made in Switzerland. Hence, the Soeder*-team decided to make it themselves and the appropriate factory was up and running at the end of 2015.

Only Organic Ingredients

In line with all Soeder* production principles, the new soap consists of all-natural ingredients such as essential oils, distilled water and sea salt. The latter gives the soap an antibacterial effect. Glycerine makes up a great part of the soap and creates a moisturizing impact. For an outstanding caring effect there is sustainable palm oil and essential oils from coconut, castor bean, hemp, olive and jojoba. All of which come from sustainable sources and carry a corresponding certification. Honey from Zurich Oberland and organic wheat are added for their regenerating effect.

Care for the Entire Body

The glass bottles for the soap are made in Germany and printed on in the canton of Aargau. They look good beside your sink as well as in your shower and the soap can be used as much to wash hands as the rest of your body. It’s available without added perfume or in different scents such as grapefruit, black pine/tangerine and sage/rosemary/lavender. Come April all bottles can be refilled in Soeder* stores in Basel and Zurich.
